Verify your identity and appear in the directory

To appear in the directory you need two things, besides a complete profile:

1. Verify your identity. In Profile, press Verify my identity. Stripe will ask for a photo of your passport, ID card or driving licence and a selfie. NowLesson never sees or stores your document or your photo, only the result. You have 3 attempts. If the name on your document doesn’t match your profile (for example, you use a nickname), we check it manually.
2. Profile review. Press Ask to appear in the directory and we’ll review your profile (photo, introduction, video) within about 2 working days. We’ll email you; if something needs changing, you’ll see why on your profile and can ask again.

Once your identity is verified, your profile shows the Identity verified badge.

Certificates: in Profile → Certificates you can upload your diplomas (PDF or photo) for us to verify. Verified ones show on your profile with a tick; we delete the file as soon as we’ve reviewed it.

Anyone with an account can report a profile if something looks wrong; the NowLesson team reviews it.
