Level test before the trial lesson
If you’re learning: when you book your trial lesson, we suggest a level test of about 5 minutes (you also get it by email). It’s optional and it isn’t an exam: you mark what you can already do in the language (Yes, Sort of or Not yet), why you want it and, if you like, write a few lines about yourself. At the end you see your estimated level and we send it to your teacher. You can redo it from My progress.
If you teach: we let you know when your student takes it. On the lesson page and in their progress (Students → Progress) you’ll see the estimated level (with “+” if it’s between two levels), the level per skill, their goals and what they wrote. With Use as the starting level you add it to their progress; it’s never set automatically.
The level is a guiding self-assessment based on the CEFR: confirm it in class.
