Available now: lessons on the spot

If you teach: on your home page, under “Available now”, choose 30, 60 or 90 minutes. During that time, your students and anyone visiting your profile can book a lesson that starts in 5 minutes (30 fits a 25-minute lesson; 60, a 50-minute one). It shortens itself if you have something earlier in your schedule or Google Calendar, and turns off as soon as someone books. You need a verified identity and to teach in the NowLesson classroom (Settings → Video call): with your own link we can’t tell whether you joined on time.

You instantly get an email and a notification with the link to the classroom. If you can’t make it after all, press Stop being available.

If you’re learning: in the search, tick Available now to see who can teach you right away. On their profile, press Lesson now: if you’re already their student, it uses your balance; if not, it’s your trial lesson (if it’s free; a paid one is booked in a slot from the schedule). Then you go straight to the classroom.

If your teacher doesn’t join within the first 10 minutes, you’ll see Cancel at no cost in the classroom: the lesson isn’t taken from your balance.
