The lesson notebook
Each teacher and student share a notebook, next to the whiteboard: a text document with pages where you both write at the same time.
- Where it is: in the classroom, in the Notebook tab (next to Whiteboard), and outside lessons on your dashboard, the lesson page or in the chat (“Open the notebook”).
- What you can do: titles and text sizes, bold, italic, underline and strikethrough, lists, colour and highlight, tables, images (PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF up to 5 MB) and LaTeX formulas.
- Pages: the left column shows the pages; add one with +, move it up or delete it with the buttons that appear when you hover over it.
- It saves automatically and each of you sees what the other writes instantly, with their cursor and name.
- Outside lessons: the teacher decides whether the student can write (for homework, for example). During a lesson, both always can.
- Join the lesson: if a lesson is about to start, the notebook shows Join the lesson.
Screen sharing: in the classroom, teacher and student can share their screen, even both at once (you choose which to watch). Tick Share the sound too to play a video or audio (in Chrome and Edge). Screen sharing isn’t possible from a phone: mobile browsers don’t allow it.
