Teaching or taking a lesson in the NowLesson classroom
The classroom brings video call and whiteboard together on the same screen, with nothing to install.
- It opens 15 minutes before and closes 30 minutes after the lesson. Join from the lesson, the calendar or the reminder email.
- Before joining you can test your camera and microphone and choose your devices.
- Inside: mute, turn the camera off, share your screen and leave.
- On your phone, switch between Video and Whiteboard with the tabs.
NowLesson records attendance (who joined and for how long), which you can both see on the lesson page.
Teachers can use their own link (Zoom, Meet) in Settings → Video call.
During the lesson:
- The arrow next to the microphone lets you pick the mic and speaker; the one next to the camera, the camera, the layout (spotlight or grid), the floating video and the background blur (light or strong).
- The timer counts from the start time (or from when the teacher joins, if they’re late) and counts down the last 5 minutes.
- The chat on the side is the same as in Messages: whatever you share stays there.
- Information shows the classroom link, your upcoming lessons, each person’s connection quality and the talk time (it measures when there’s a voice on each microphone; nothing is recorded).
- If something goes wrong, press the flag to let us know: we send technical details, never audio or video.
